Writing Effective Prompts

Tip

Structure your prompts with these four elements for best results.

# Good Prompt Structure 1. Context - Set the scene "You are a construction project manager reviewing..." 2. Task - What to do "Analyze the following document and identify..." 3. Format - How to respond "Present your findings in a numbered list with..." 4. Constraints - Boundaries "Focus only on safety-related items. Limit to 10 items."

Reference to relevant drawings/specs 3. Impact statement if not resolved 4. Suggested resolution (if applicable) Format the RFI with proper headers and maintain a professional tone suitable for owner/architect review. Information to address: [Paste your context here]
