General

What is DatumOS?

DatumOS is an AI-powered construction intelligence platform that connects your data sources (like Autodesk ACC, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace) and helps you find information and get answers using AI.

Who is DatumOS for?

DatumOS is designed for construction professionals including:

  • Project Managers
  • Engineers and Architects
  • Construction Managers
  • Document Controllers
  • Anyone who needs to find information across multiple systems

Is my data secure?

Yes. We take security seriously:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We use OAuth for secure third-party connections (no passwords stored)
  • Data is processed on secure servers
  • We never train AI models on your data

Account & Billing

How do I create an account?

Visit app.datumos.app  and click “Sign Up”. You can register with your email or use Google/Microsoft authentication.

What plans are available?

Contact us at sales@datumos.app for pricing information. We offer plans for individuals, teams, and enterprises.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Contact support through the app or email support@datumos.app to cancel your subscription.

Connectors

What data sources can I connect?

Currently supported:

  • Autodesk ACC - Documents, issues, RFIs, BIM data
  • Microsoft 365 - SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams files
  • Google Workspace - Drive, Docs, Sheets

How do I connect a new data source?

  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. Click Connectors
  3. Select the connector you want to add
  4. Follow the OAuth authorization flow
  5. Wait for initial sync to complete

Why is my connector showing an error?

Common causes:

  • OAuth token expired (try reconnecting)
  • Insufficient permissions
  • Service temporarily unavailable

AI & Chat

Which AI models are available?

DatumOS supports multiple AI models:

  • Claude (Anthropic) - Excellent for analysis and detailed explanations
  • GPT-4o (OpenAI) - Great for general-purpose tasks
  • Gemini (Google) - Good for factual queries

How do I switch AI models?

Click the model selector in the chat interface (usually shows the current model name) and choose a different model.

Why doesn’t the AI know about my recent documents?

New documents need time to sync and process:

  1. Check that your connector is active
  2. Wait for the sync to complete (check Settings > Connectors)
  3. Processing can take a few minutes for large documents

Can I use DatumOS offline?

No, DatumOS requires an internet connection to access your connected data sources and AI capabilities.

Semantic search understands the meaning of your query, not just keywords. For example:

  • Searching “foundation issues” will find documents about “basement problems” or “structural concerns”
  • Searching “project delays” will find discussions about “schedule impacts” or “timeline slippage”

Can I search across all my connectors at once?

Yes! By default, search looks across all connected data sources. You can also filter by specific connectors if needed.
