Installation

Get your DatumOS account set up and ready to use in just a few minutes.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
  • A valid email address
  • Internet connection
Note

DatumOS is a cloud-based platform. There’s no software to download or install on your computer.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Navigate to app.datumos.app  in your web browser
  2. Click the Sign Up button in the top right corner
  3. Choose your preferred sign-up method:
    • Email and Password - Enter your email and create a secure password
    • Google - Sign up using your Google account
    • Microsoft - Sign up using your Microsoft account
Important

Use your work email address if you plan to connect organizational data sources like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

Step 2: Verify Your Email

After signing up, you’ll receive a verification email:

  1. Check your inbox for an email from DatumOS (noreply@datumos.app)
  2. Click the Verify Email link in the message
  3. You’ll be redirected back to DatumOS and automatically signed in
Didn't receive the email?
  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Wait a few minutes - emails can sometimes be delayed
  • Click “Resend verification email” on the sign-in page
  • Make sure you entered your email address correctly

Step 3: Set Up Your Workspace

Once your email is verified, you’ll be prompted to set up your workspace:

  1. Workspace Name - Enter a name for your workspace (e.g., your company or team name)
  2. Display Name - Set how your name should appear in the application
  3. Click Continue to complete setup

Your workspace is where all your conversations, connected data sources, and team members will be organized.

Step 4: Welcome Tour (Optional)

After workspace setup, you’ll see a brief welcome tour highlighting key features:

  • Chat interface
  • Search functionality
  • Settings and connectors
  • AI model selection

You can skip this tour and explore at your own pace, or take it to get familiar with the interface.

DatumOS works best with modern, up-to-date browsers:

Tip

Enable JavaScript and cookies for the best experience. DatumOS uses these for authentication and real-time updates.

Troubleshooting

Can’t Access app.datumos.app

  • Check your internet connection
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Disable browser extensions that might block content

Email Verification Not Working

  • Make sure the link hasn’t expired (links are valid for 24 hours)
  • Request a new verification email from the sign-in page
  • Contact support@datumos.app if issues persist

Account Creation Fails

  • Verify your email address is entered correctly
  • Try a different sign-up method (Google or Microsoft instead of email)
  • Check if you already have an account with that email address
